Racial Justice Now! DMV will be participating in a statewide school police removal virtual town hall on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, from 6:30-8:00 PM. The town hall will include students directly impacted by policing in schools, along with their families. Delegate Gabriel Acevero, who is sponsoring a bill to end police presence in schools, and Delegate Jheanelle Wilkins, who is sponsoring an appropriations bill to have alternatives to police in schools, will also be participating. This event will be moderated by Carolyn Lowery, Project Director for Racial Justice Now! DMV. The event link is below:
