On a sunny Saturday in October, Racial Justice NOW! DMV successfully co-hosted a school board forum for candidates that were running for school board seats for the Montgomery County Maryland Board of Education. The event was a part of the 13th Annual Dignity in Schools National Week of Action Against School Pushout, and the theme was “Building the Schools our Communities Deserve NOW!”
East county residents came out and asked hard questions to MCPS school board candidates. The event was well attended by both adult community members and youth. Co-sponsors of the event were MOC Black Collective.
