RJN!’s monthly organizing meeting took place at the Body of Christ Deliverance Center on a cold January evening. Community members were welcomed with vegetable soup to warm them up and a welcoming atmosphere. Parent Organizer, Cameron Walker, facilitated the meeting and gave updates on School Board Meetings and RJN!’s campaigns. Pastor Stephen Matlock, RJN! Board President, shared a few words about the organization’s expansion into the DMV area, and Youth Organizer- Josh Harrison- talked about the Browder Scholars Cultural Imperative program.

Guest speaker, Angela Davis shared a moving power point presentation on the state of Black women girls locally and beyond with parents and families. We must be sure that all our children are safe and have access to the opportunities that they deserve.
#BlackGirlsMatter
